Bob Carr is co-founder and president of Carr Marketing
Communications, a strategic communications consulting firm
helping clients primarily in the healthcare and environmental
risk communication industries to successfully build and
protect their brand value.
He brings to these clients a rare blend of strategic foresight
and business planning and communications experience. Bob's
expertise makes him a sought-after speaker and presenter
on the topics of public relations, branding, strategic planning
and risk communications.
With more than 25 years of marketing and communications
experience, Bob has provided valued planning and strategic
counsel to a variety of national and regional clients in
the areas of healthcare, environmental risk communications,
financial services, professional service firms and cultural
marketing.
He is certified as a strategic planner by the American
Management Association International and is the recipient
of an MBA degree from St. Bonaventure University. He also
graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. degree in journalism
from St. Bonaventure.
Bob has been an accredited member (APR) of the Public Relations
Society of America (PRSA) for the past 20 years and an elected
member of PRSA's Counselors Academy for the past 11 years.
Highlighting his professional presentations are "Using
Research to Gauge Community Healthcare Perceptions"
at PRSA's International Conference, "Responsible Communication"
at the 11th Annual Southern States Environmental Conference
hosted by Mississippi State University and "Strategic
Planning and Environmental Communications" at the Annual
Industry-Environment Conference of the Business Council
of New York State.
Bob was the co-recipient of the Buffalo-Niagara PRSA Chapter's
first "Public Relations Practitioner of the Year"
Award (1987) and was named "Alumnus of the Year"
in 1992 by St. Bonaventure University's Russell J. Jandoli
School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
In 1993, a year before co-founding Carr Marketing Communications,
he was named by Business First of Buffalo as one of its
annual "40 Under Forty," honoring 40 Western New
Yorkers under the age of 40 for their professional success
and community involvement.
Bob has taught Organizational Communication in St. Bonaventure's
School of Business graduate program on "Professional
Leadership" and currently teaches Marketing Communications
Research and Strategic Marketing Management in St. Bonaventure's
graduate Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) program.
Before co-founding Carr Marketing Communications, Carr
headed Wolf Carr Public Relations, a division of The Wolf
Group headquartered in Toronto, Canada; served as senior
vice president of marketing and communications for the Greater
Buffalo Chamber of Commerce; and served as director of public
relations for Duquesne University and St. Bonaventure University.
He began his post-collegiate communications career as a
reporter for the first Gannett Group newspaper, the Elmira
Star-Gazette and Sunday Telegram, where he was the lead
on a team which captured a New York State Associated Press
Award for Spot-News Coverage on the Blizzard of 1978.
Cheryl
Carr, MA, ABC

Cheryl Carr is co-founder and chief operating officer
of Carr Marketing Communications. She has more than 20 years
experience in providing strategic communications counsel
to clients with a primary focus on marketing consulting
and healthcare communications. In addition, she serves as
the firm’s consultant for advertising production and
placement.
Cheryl's expertise helped guide the development of first-time
strategic marketing communications programs for the Western
New York Association for Homes and Services for the Aging,
Beechwood Continuing Care and Cuba (NY) Residential Care
Facility; and a first-ever branding program for Lutheran
Social Services in Jamestown, NY. She assisted in the development
and design of a regional web site for family caregivers,
WNYSeniorCare.org, which won the 2007 Innovation of the
Year award from the New York Association of Homes and Services
for the Aging.
Foremost among her achievements has been the successful
organization of communications facilitation sessions on
behalf of the New York Association of Area Agencies on Aging
and the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central
New York.
Cheryl was also instrumental in the efforts leading to
international and national recognition for the work done
by Carr Marketing Communications on behalf of our clients.
The outstanding results were two Gold Quill Awards from
the International Association of Business Communicators
(IABC) and a Bronze Anvil Award from the Public Relations
Society of America.
Her community work has included participation as a troop
leader and Council delegate for the Girl Scout Council of
Buffalo & Erie County. She was the first ever from the
Town of Amherst to be recognized by the Council with its
"CEO Leadership Appreciation Award." She also
serves on the advisory board for the Women’s Business
Center at Canisius College, the Aging With Honor Impact
Council of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, and
the marketing committee of Leave a Legacy® Western New
York.
A native of Liverpool, NY, Cheryl has a bachelor's degree
in journalism from Boston University's College of Communications
and a master's degree in history from St. Bonaventure University.
She is an accredited business communicator by IABC and is
a past president of IABC's Buffalo-area chapter.
Cheryl began her career as a reporter/editor for Gannett
Group newspapers and the former Buffalo Courier-Express.
She then provided public relations services for two Pittsburgh,
PA advertising/public relations firms and served as communications
coordinator for Dresser Industries, a Fortune 100 company,
in Olean, NY.
Jim
Pasinski
Public Relations Manager

Jim brings to Carr clients strong writing and communication
skills and a proficiency in media relations, publications,
Web site content development, and project management. His
diverse work experience in the media, cable television,
and higher education is also an asset.
Jim has experience working with Carr clients in the areas
of environmental communications, healthcare, finance and
economic development.
Prior to joining the Carr team, Jim was the assistant director
of communications and marketing at the University of Pittsburgh
– Bradford. At Pitt-Bradford, Jim managed media relations
and served as editor of Portraits, the university
magazine for alumni and friends. Jim started his career
as news director at WESB/WBRR radio in Bradford, Pa. He
was also a news reporter for The Bradford Era,
where he received a Pennsylvania Associated Press Award
for a series of articles researched and written dealing
with the finances of a publicly funded agency.
Jim also served as a project manager at Adelphia Communications
where he worked with numerous departments in Adelphia offices
nationwide in an effort to improve technical operating performance
and the customer experience.
Megan
Webb - Account Executive
Megan Webb brings to Carr clients strong written and organization
skills and a proficiency in media relations, public relations
tactics, Web site content development, and project management.
Megan has experience working with Carr clients in the healthcare,
environmental remediation, not-for-profit and financial
sectors. Prior to joining the Carr team, Megan was an account
executive for an Atlanta-based marketing agency where she
managed media relations and public relations tactics and
assisted in strategic brand development for numerous business-to-consumer
and business-to-business clients.
She was also a Web site copywriter for several nationally
renowned retailers.
Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in communications
and English writing from St. John Fisher College in Rochester,
N.Y. She is a Buffalo native.
Katherine Sanok - Team Marketing Assistant
Katherine provides office organizational support and measurement
documentation for all Carr Marketing Communications clients.
With a background in retail and receptionist services, she
is especially adept at conducting research on media and
public relations trends and monitoring online media coverage.
She is attending Buffalo State College and will be receiving
her bachelor’s in public communication with a concentration
in fashion merchandising.

George P. Evans, B.A., M.S., Ph.D.
Senior Strategic Planner and Research Analyst
Dr. Evans has more than 30 years' experience in research
methodology and programs and is highly proficient in research
instrument development, research supervision, data analysis
and recommendations
He has provided expertise on key Carr research projects
over the past eight years, including successful community
surveys and focus groups in healthcare and environmental
risk communications.
Dr. Evans is a graduate of Rider College and earned a master's
degree in journalism (with a minor in political science)
from Ohio University. He was awarded a Ph.D. in mass communication
(with a minor in international studies) from Syracuse University.
Jeffrey F. Feinen
Creative Services Consultant
Jeff has more than two decades of award-winning experience
in creative branding, advertising, collateral design and
media planning and buying.
He has worked successfully with Carr Marketing Communications
clients in health care, financial services, and business-to-business
for the past 12 years in bringing branding strategies to
creative fruition with graphic identity development, advertising,
online graphics and collateral design and production.
Jeff is a graduate of the State University College at Buffalo
receiving his BA in Art Education, and his MFA from Syracuse
University.
